Personal development health and physical education

As a core subject, PDHPE is a compulsory subject for Years 7-10. The main aim of the PDHPE faculty is to provide students with the necessary information to make informed decisions about their own personal health, and also to provide the experience of games and activities to give students the skills necessary to develop and maintain good health, as well as develop team building skills.

Stage 4 (Years 7 and 8) and Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10)

PDHPE involves two periods per week allocated to physical education and one lesson to personal development and health.

As an extension to the Stage 5 PDHPE course and to help prepare students for the senior 2 unit PDHPE course, an elective course, Physical Activity and Sports Science (PASS) has been introduced.

Mosman High Strength and Conditioning

Mosman High Strength and Conditioning is a specialised fitness program designed for students attending Mosman High. Our program is customisable to accommodate individual sports requirements, ensuring measurable progress for all participants. We integrate functional exercises with high-intensity training to enhance body awareness and foster the development of strength, agility, and power. Mosman High Strength and Conditioning welcomes students of all abilities, providing an inclusive environment. Participation options include enrolment through PDHPE elective classes, PASS, and targeted sports initiatives.

Stage 6 (Years 11 and 12)
