As a core subject, PDHPE is a compulsory subject for Years 7-10. The main aim of the PDHPE faculty is to provide students with the necessary information to make informed decisions about their own personal health, and also to provide the experience of games and activities to give students the skills necessary to develop and maintain good health, as well as develop team building skills.
Stage 4 (Years 7 and 8) and Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10)
PDHPE involves two periods per week allocated to physical education and one lesson to personal development and health.
As an extension to the Stage 5 PDHPE course and to help prepare students for the senior 2 unit PDHPE course, an elective course, Physical Activity and Sports Science (PASS) has been introduced.
