Wellbeing
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support.

School psychologist / counsellor
The school psychologist/counsellor is on site five days per week (Monday to Friday) and provides a highly valuable service to students, parents and staff. The psychologist/counsellor assesses individual student learning potential and provides staff with recommendations for improving students learning outcomes. Individual students consult with the psychologist/counsellor on a private confidential basis.
If you feel your student needs to see the school psychologist/counsellor please speak to the Year Advisor.
Need support for your child's wellbeing?
We have a wonderful Wellbeing team for each individual student. Our Year Advisors, Stage Head Teachers and Stage Deputies as well as our School Counsellors are all there to help your child if there are particular concerns.
Please don't hesitate to contact a member of the Wellbeing team (which includes the Principal) if you have any concerns relating to the wellbeing of your student or the Class Teacher or Head Teacher of a subject for a learning concern.
