Our first sporting event for the year was the swimming carnival. There was such a positive atmosphere at the pool. Years 7 and 8 attended along with some serious competitors from other years.
Akoostikum was an unforgettable musical celebration of student talent and creativity. From start to finish, the show highlighted the incredible diversity and talent within our school. Students from all year levels took to the stage, each bringing something unique to the night’s program.
In June this year our enthusiastic Year 7 students travelled to Point Wolstoncroft for an unforgettable three-day camp experience. Located approximately 90 minutes from Sydney, the venue provided a picturesque backdrop for a program focused on building friendships, positivity, and resilience.
The Mosman High School Athletics Carnival was held at E.S. Marks athletic field with perfect weather. Students from Years 7–10 attended and had the opportunity to compete in a wide range of track and field events, including sprints, middle and long-distance races, shot put, discus, javelin, high jump and long jump. Students showed great support for each other and plenty of house spirit throughout the day.
In term 3 our students represented Mosman High School at the Sydney North Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park where we qualified for the NSW CHS Athletics Championships in High Jump and our under 16 Boys Relay Team qualified to compete at the NSW CHS Championships. Qualifying for the NSW CHS carnival is an outstanding achievement.
In Term 3 our Year 7–9 Dance Ensemble ‘Shatter to Shape’, successfully auditioned to perform at the 2026 State Dance Festival, Convergence! And our Year 9–11 Dance Ensemble ‘Orbiting Forces’ has been placed on the reserve list.
This prestigious event celebrates the very best dance works from NSW Public Schools.
The selection panel praised both performances as being of an exceptional standard, commenting on the success of dance at our school. We couldn't be prouder of our students and the dedication they have shown throughout the year.
In Term 3 our Year 9 students will set off on an unforgettable adventure to the NSW Snowy Mountains for their annual Ski Camp. Staying at the Jindabyne Sports and Recreation Centre, students have the opportunity to challenge themselves on the slopes of Mount Blue Cow while building friendships, resilience, and memories that will last well beyond their high school years.
Our annual Visual Arts exhibition is held in August. This year's event will be opened by special guest speaker Evert Ploeg, one of Australia’s foremost narrative/realist portrait and figurative artists who has seven works currently in The National Portrait Gallery, Canberra. Our students are looking forward to him attending their show and hearing his insights on their work and life as an artist.
A group of Visual Arts students, and their teachers embarked on a European Study Tour in the 2025 October school holidays. They immersed themselves in the rich artistic and cultural heritage of France, exploring some of the world’s most iconic landmarks and museums. It was an unforgettable educational experience that deepened students’ understanding of art, culture, and the world beyond the classroom.
